THIS WINTER AT HAKONE GARDENS

 

In 2026, Nicolai Bergmann Hakone Gardens welcomes you to a special garden setting adorned with Nordic art.

From January 8th through the end of February, our pavilions will host an exhibition featuring the work of Danish craft artist Charlotte Søeborg Ohlsen. This showcase combines Nicolai Bergmann’s floral designs with her intricate, shimmering golden insects, meticulously folded and assembled from metal using her unique techniques.

In March, we will present an exhibition by Danish clay artist Christina Muff. Inspired by our iconic flower boxes, she has created one-of-a-kind, handmade square ceramics, which will be paired with Nicolai Bergmann’s floral artistry for a truly singular collection.

Flower Workshop: Saturday, February 21 | 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Join us for a special creative session where you will design a floral basket arrangement inspired by a winter garden, featuring exclusive handcrafted insects created by Charlotte Søeborg Ohlsen specifically for this lesson.
